Hello Friends!

In order to help you plan your trips to the old continent in advance and properly, I explored, as much as possible, all the Metal festivals already confirmed for the upcoming season on their respective official websites.

This calendar will serve as a support for decision-making. To facilitate a preliminary consultation, the festivals have been placed in chronological order with a brief description of the location, city, and country where they are held. In addition, I indicate whether there is camping or accommodation available in the region, as well as shuttle or other public transport options to the city center. I also include nearby train stations, parking lots, and airports to facilitate logistics and trip planning. Finally, I include a small index separating the festivals by country in order of occurrence.

Note: I recommend rereading this article, as it is a final update to the text originally published on December 4th, adding the 43 festivals that were confirmed (and duly included here) after the original publication. It also includes updates regarding ticket status for some previously announced events and the addition of one or two headliners that were announced during this period. There are many new additions, including winter festivals, both those happening at the beginning of the year and those officially confirmed for the end of the year. The Czech Masters of Rock winter festival is missing; its edition should be confirmed later and will be added separately in the comments when detailed information is available. The same applies to Rock Hard Italia and the Eindhoven Metal Meeting. It's worth noting that there are smaller, unannounced Metal festivals; however, I will also update the comments section if any good news comes up. I invite anyone who has information about other festivals not mentioned here to post it in the comments, preferably respecting the format I've adopted, as it will be very helpful to everyone.

I also suggest that you always check the official websites of any events you might be interested in, as significant changes may occur before they take place, and prudence is always advisable. Many must be wondering: "Where are the Greek Rockwave, the London High Voltage, and the very traditional Gods of Metal?" Well, the first two are uncertain regarding their realization; they most likely won't happen this year. Gods of Metal has been officially canceled, and the official website states "until 2014," the year it should return. If there are any news or updates regarding these latter events, I will add the relevant information in the comments.
Finally, I will briefly mention some more eclectic rock festivals that are very important and that occasionally feature metal bands in their lineup.

I hope you enjoy it, find it useful, and I hope we see each other at some festival in the EU.
Until then!
