Watch Europe's new music video, "The Siege"

Europe released their last album in 2017

“The Siege”, the new music video from Europe , was directed by Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company, who has previously worked with bands such as In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Lacuna Coil, Arch Enemy, Amaranthe and Evergrey .

The song is part of the band's latest album, Walk The Earth , which was released in October of last year. The album was recorded at the famous Abbey Road studios in London and produced by Dave Cobb, who also worked on the band's previous album, War Of Kings, from 2015.

Vocalist Joey Tempest spoke to Planet Rock about “The Siege”: “[It’s] basically a postcard of the French Revolution, where democracy took a giant leap in France (and subsequently in Europe). I worked with my old friend Chris Difford (from the band Squeeze ) on the lyrics.” Regarding the music, Tempest said: “ John Levén [bass] sent us the idea and we all loved it. In rehearsal, we combined Mic’s [Michaeli, keyboards] idea for the chorus and a really cool song emerged. At Abbey Road, Dave helped us with the feeling, arrangements, and also with the little quirky pauses in the verses.”
