The band replaced AC/DC, who were supposedly going to play at the event.
Real Madrid player Sergio Ramos got married last Saturday, the 15th, and his party made headlines around the world when rumors surfaced that AC/DC would be playing at the event.
Europe played at the wedding in Seville, Spain . The news was that the Swedish band performed a 40-minute set with classic songs such as the hit “The Final Countdown”.
European newspapers reported last week that AC/DC had agreed to play at Ramos' farm for one million euros, but nothing came of it. Fans are now more hopeful than ever that the group is preparing a new album.
Europe will be performing at Rockfest, a festival taking place on September 21st at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, alongside Scorpions and Whitesnake. Learn more here.
