Europe drummer Ian Haugland with Stefan Nilsson from Roppongi Rocks aired last Thursday, the 1st .

The band's latest album, Walk The Earth , was released in 2017. It was recorded at the famous Abbey Road Studio , the location where numerous hits were created, such as Pink Floyd 's The Dark Side Of The Moon , Deep Purple 's Bloodsucker ,  the Brazilian band Angra Fireworks , and many more.

In a recent interview, the drummer from Europe commented on the band's plans for their next studio album (via Blabbermouth ) : “We have a pretty busy schedule, at least for the first half of this year, doing the festival circuit until August. After that, I'm not sure if there's anything booked. But we are working on new material.”

“And the plan is to go into the studio and start recording and have a new album. Well, I suppose that would be early next year. And it’s promising. I know Joye, he’s excited about two of the songs he and Mick are planning to write. The chemistry is still there, it’s still happening and it’s a lot of fun.”

He continued: “I can’t wait to get back into the studio, because it’s in the studio that you reconnect as band members, it’s where you create the soul of the band. Live shows are groundwork, you just go there, play, and have fun. But in the studio is where you have the possibility to grow as a band and develop as a band and as a musician. So, we haven’t done that in a long time, it’s time to do it.”

The expectation is that the twelfth album will begin recording in late 2024 and be released in early 2025.
