Many agreed, but the comment generated much controversy online
Antony Curti , a commentator for ESPN, was criticized on his Twitter account after comparing Bon Jovi to Capital Inicial during the broadcast of the baseball game between the Boston Red Sox and the Cleveland Indians on the 13th.
The journalist said live on air that Bon Jovi is nothing more than a "Capital Inicial of the United States." After the comment, he posted on his social media: "People are insulting me on the hashtag #MLBnaESPN just because I said that Bon Jovi is nothing more than the Capital Inicial of the USA.".
The comment caused intrigue among fans of the bands, while some of the audience agreed with what he said. "Bon Jovi is very good, but doesn't come close to Capital Inicial" was one of the responses, with some saying, "Both are in the overrated category.".
Bon Jovi will come to Brazil with their This House Is Not For Sale tour. In addition to Rock in Rio, the group will perform in Recife, at the Arruda Stadium, on September 22nd, São Paulo, at Allianz Parque, on September 25th, and Curitiba, at Pedreira Paulo Leminski, on September 27th.
