Last Friday, the 11th, the trio Eskröta released their new project: the powerful album Blasfêmea , now available on all streaming platforms.

Known for being openly feminist, anti-fascist, and anti-racist, the album's lyrics continue to reinforce this stance. Therefore, social and political commentary is present throughout all the tracks.

The band was formed in 2017 and today consists of Yasmin Amaral (vocals and guitar), Tamyris Leopoldo (bass and backing vocals), and Jhon França (drums). It all started with sporadic performances in small venues, but today, after eight years of their career, they have already reached important stages. Eskröta has already participated in Rock In Rio and, more recently, in Knotfest 2024.

Blasphemy is production . Furthermore, it symbolizes a significant musical maturation for the band. Metal blends with different sounds throughout the album, thanks to special collaborations with other artists.

In the track “Mantra,” rapper MC Taya joins the band members, resulting in a powerful song that denounces rape culture in society. Traditional drums are also added to the track “LBR (Latina, Brasileira, Revolucionária),” recorded by musicians from Cordel do Fogo Encantado , incorporating a ritualistic and ancestral weight into the sound. And in the track “A Bruxa,” the drums gain new rhythmic layers with the collaboration of musician Cláudio Montevérdi , from the band Korvak .
