The iconic post-hardcore band Escape The Fate returned to Brazil for a single performance in São Paulo. On September 26th, the American group took the stage at Hangar 110, providing an unforgettable experience for a frenzied audience with their commemorative tour of the acclaimed album This War Is Ours .
Currently composed of Craig Mabbitt (vocals), Robert Ortiz (drums), TJ Bell (guitar), Matti Hoffman (guitar), and Erik Jensen (bass), the Americans demonstrated why they are one of the most beloved bands in the modern rock scene. With the venue completely packed and an incredible heat, the performance started strong with "We Won't Back Down," a track that immediately set the party mood, followed by "On to the Next One," maintaining the aggressive and energetic vibe that made the audience vibrate intensely. They exuded charisma, especially Craig and TJ, who even took fans' cell phones to take selfies mid-song. At the end, the band deservedly had their name chanted. The nostalgic moment came with "Ashley," which, as soon as it was announced, caused hysteria and resonated with the older fans, creating an even stronger connection between the fans and the band.
Following the string of hits, the band played “ Something ” and “ The Flood ” keeping the energy high with powerful riffs and thrilling vocals. The fans were putting on a show of their own, singing as loudly as lead singer Craig Mabbitt. Later, “ Let It Go ” and “ You Are So Beautiful ” kept the energy high, with everyone singing devotedly, creating an exciting and captivating atmosphere.
If everything seemed to be going relatively calmly, with everyone singing and dancing in their seats, when they played " This War Is Ours (The Guillotine II) " chaos erupted on the dance floor, with a huge mosh pit that looked like people were exorcising their demons. It was no different with " 10 Miles Wide " things were getting wild, to the point where security had to check if they were getting too carried away. To calm things down a bit, they played the ballad " Harder Than You Know, " one of the highlights of the night, with many fans singing along emotionally, including one fan singing on stage, while " It's Just Me " masterfully concluded the impressive sequence of songs from This War Is Ours , maintaining the passionate connection between band and audience.
The encore brought “H8 MY SELF ” , followed by “ Low ” and “ Gorgeous Nightmare ” , which raised the energy for the final climax. When “ Broken Heart ” was played, the fans sang along, visibly emotional, before the grand finale with “ Cheers to Goodbye ” and the epic “ One for the Money ” , one of the most anticipated tracks of the night.
With the audience completely captivated, Escape The Fate proved once again that their place in rock is assured. It was a memorable night, marked by an explosive performance that transcended the barrier between artist and fan. The connection between band and audience became one voice, providing unforgettable moments that will remain etched in the memory of all those present.
