Eric Clapton says his anti-vaccine views have damaged personal relationships.

"I tried to get in touch with other musicians, but I simply haven't heard from them anymore," he said in an interview

Eric Clapton has adopted a denialist and anti-vaccine stance, especially after receiving the vaccine and experiencing side effects . Now, during an interview, he revealed that these opinions have damaged his personal relationships.

“I tried to get in touch with other musicians, but I simply haven’t heard from them anymore. My phone doesn’t ring, I don’t receive emails anymore, it’s quite noticeable,” Clapton told Oracle Films.

The musician also revealed that he even considered leaving England with his family and starting a new life in another country. The guitarist complained of being relegated to "ostracism" and rejected even by his own family.

“Above all, I believe in freedom of speech and movement. And in life, in love, and in kindness. I saw contempt from both sides and was caught in this crossfire,” he argues.

The guitarist was vaccinated earlier this year with AstraZeneca/Oxford and said he had a fever, difficulty sleeping, and pain in his hands and feet. "The vaccine got to my immune system and shook it up, it scared me a lot," he said in the interview.
