New from EPICA : the band released today, the 18th, the acoustic version of the track “Abyss Of Time”. This song will be part of the band's next album, Omega , which arrives on February 26, 2021, via Nuclear Blast .
“For the release of Omega , we rewrote 4 songs in acoustic versions,” says keyboardist Coen Janssen in a press release. “This was our way of relaxing after an intense period of hard work on heavy songs. Being able to sit down, calm down and see which songs still 'work' without all the bombastic elements is like coming home. This allows us to explore other musical styles beyond metal and challenges us to be creative in ways different from what we are used to. Enjoy our first single 'Abyss Of Time' as if it were being played in an Irish pub while you have fun and drink with friends!!”
