the 15th, EPICA released the acoustic version of the track “Omega”. The song gives its name to the band's upcoming album, Omega , which will be released on February 26, 2021, via Nuclear Blast .
“For the release of Omega , we rewrote four songs in acoustic versions,” keyboardist Coen Janssen in a press release. “This was our way of relaxing after an intense period of hard work on heavy songs. Being able to sit down, calm down, and see which songs still 'work' without all the bombastic elements is like coming home. This allows us to explore other musical styles beyond metal and challenges us to be creative in ways different from what we're used to.”
In addition to this version, the band had already released an acoustic version of "Abyss Of Time ," as well as the single and music video for "Freedom – The Wolves Within."
