The Dutch band came to Brazil with The Ultimate Principle Tour.
The Dutch band Epica came to Brazil once again, this time with The Ultimate Principle Tour .
With a full house and high expectations, they opened the show with "Edge Of The Blade," followed by the classic "Sensorium" from their first album , The Phantom Agony – they also performed "Cry For The Moon" from that album.
The Solace System 's latest EP was well represented with "Fight Your Demons," followed by a trio of well-known songs: "Unleashed" from the album Design Your Universe , the pleasant surprise "Chasing The Dragon" from The Divine Conspiracy , which brought many people to tears, and "Storm The Sorrow" from Requiem For The Indifferent .
The massive (over 11 minutes long) track “The Holographic Principle” was very well received, followed by “Victims Of Contingency” and “Unchain Utopia,” both from the album The Quantum Enigma , released in 2014.
The first part of the show ended with “Once Upon a Nightmare,” but it wasn’t long before keyboardist Coen Janssen and guitarist Isaac Delahaye returned to the stage to interact with the audience before launching into “Sancta Terra,” followed by the excellent “Beyond The Matrix.”.
The show ended with the crowd going wild and opening up several mosh pits to the sound of another of the band's hits: "Consign To Oblivion".
With each visit to Brazil, Epica notices that the band is growing not only in terms of audience, but also in cohesion and stage presence, proving why they are today one of the greatest exponents of Symphonic Metal.
