After a year and a half, the Dutch band Epica returned to the country to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their album Design Your Universe .

The tour, which initially had only a few dates in Europe, caught the attention of South American producers, who scheduled two dates in the country, the first being in São Paulo, at the usual Tropical Butantã venue.

Led by Simone Simons , the sextet took to the stage promptly at 8:30 PM with "Samadhi" echoing through the venue's sound system, with each member going up on stage and interacting with the audience.

The band decided to follow the exact chronological order of the commemorative album and performed almost all the songs, except for "White Waters," which is originally sung by Simons in a duet with Tony Kakko of Sonata Arctica , but was played instrumentally as the band left the stage at the end of the performance.

Amidst the songs and a few words in Portuguese spoken by Simone and Mark Jansen , it's clear that the group included some classics like "Quietus," their best-known song "Cry For The Moon," and even "In All Conscience," a bonus track from their penultimate release, The Quantum Enigma .

The thrilling show concluded after almost 2 hours with the classic
"Consign to Oblivion," bringing this beautiful performance in São Paulo to an unparalleled and memorable close.
