The Dutch band EPICA released their newest album, Omega following the singles “Abyss Of Time”, “Rivers”, and “Freedom – The Wolves Within”.
“I’m very proud of this work, as I’m convinced that we’ve written something very refreshing and well-balanced, even after so many years together,” comments guitarist Mark Jensen about the album, their eighth and first in five years. “Our strength is that we have great songwriters in one band. We managed to combine each other’s strongest qualities and select the best songs. It was a fruitful period spending time together working as a team on these tracks. I think that made the biggest difference compared to our previous albums. Still using the advantages of comfortably sending files to each other over the internet, but combining that with the physical meeting again to work on all the tracks. I think I’ve listened to Omega about 50 times already and I still don’t get tired of it!”
