With a video inspired by moments from The Beatles , the English National Football Team released this Friday, the 22nd, the list of 26 players who will represent the country in the 2026 FIFA World Cup
The material, whose title references the hit “Come Together,” takes a journey through British pop culture in the very first seconds, and opens with excerpts from a classic John Lennon interview.
The video also embraces the psychedelic aesthetic that directly references the album Yellow Submarine (1969) and also reinterprets the cover of the album A Hard Day's Night (1964), along with the presence of retro elements such as spinning vinyl records, wheatpaste posters pasted around English cities, neon signs and animations.
Billy Joel and his opinion on the Beatles' 'White Album'
Renowned pianist Billy Joel shared his opinion on the Beatles ' self-titled White Album . It was the quartet 's ninth album , released as a double album on November 22, 1968.
During an appearance on Bill Maher 's podcast Club Random [ via NME ], Joel was discussing classic double albums. When the host mentioned the album in question, the musician stated that he didn't like it. According to him, "it's a collection of poorly made songs."
"I see it as a collection of poorly made songs that they didn't finish writing because they were too high or didn't care anymore. I think they had fragments and just threw them on the record," he stated.
