In this week's Wikimetal poll, England was voted the country of Metal, with 40% of the votes. Germany and the United States came in second and third place, with 21% and 16% of the votes, respectively.
The country of the three fathers of Heavy Metal – Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin – didn't stop there in bringing us many of the greatest bands in the heavy genre, gifting us with acts like Rainbow, Judas Priest, Motörhead and of course, Iron Maiden.
