Emperor 's highly anticipated debut in Brazil took place last Friday, the 20th, at Audio, in São Paulo.

The show, initially announced for 2020, suffered delays due to the pandemic, but finally took place, marking the first and only performance of the Norwegian black metal band in the country in their 30-year career.

The band came to Brazil with the tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of the album Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk (1997), before another hiatus in Emperor's career.

The opening act was Lockdown, a supergroup formed by João Gordo (vocals – Ratos de Porão ), Antonio Araújo (guitar – Korzus/Matanza Ritual ), Rafael Yamada (bass – Claustrofobia /ex- Project 46 ) and Bruno Santin (drums – Endrah/Oitão ).
