Elton John claims to have recently recorded with Metallica.

"It's more than inspiring to spend an afternoon in the company of Elton John, one of the greatest artists in history."

Music icon Elton John has made a statement that will, at the very least, leave Metallica curious.

During the latest episode of Rocket Hour , a show streamed via Apple Music , the "Rocket Man" said he recorded music with Metallica.

“I just finished something with Metallica. During the lockdown period, I worked with Gorillaz and other people. I didn't do anything for myself, but I did a lot of cool stuff with great artists.”

One clue as to what Elton John may have recorded came from a statement by Miley Cyrus , who said that Metallica's new covers album should feature Elton John on piano in a version of "Nothing Else Matters".

Last year, Elton John already made a beautiful appearance on the title track of Ozzy Osbourne , Ordinary Man , not only playing piano but also singing.

Below is a post from drummer Lars Ulrich featuring Elton John: “It’s more than inspiring to spend an afternoon in the company of one of the greatest composers and artists in history… Thank you Elton for your generosity and good vibes!”
