The song "Ordinary Man," the title track from Ozzy Osbourne , helped Elton John break a new record.
For the first time in 27 years, Elton John has re-entered the Billboard "Mainstream Rock" chart. The song, which alternates vocals from the two mega-stars, landed at number 34 on this week's chart.
The last time Elton John had appeared on this list was in 1992 with "Runaway Train." Interestingly, that was also a collaboration, this time with Eric Clapton .
The record for the longest "break" from Billboard charts belonged to Brian May . He managed to return to the list after a 26-year hiatus. The return happened thanks to his participation in the Five Finger Death Punch in 2019. Before that, the legendary Queen had only entered the ranking in 1993 with "Driven By You".
In addition to the title track, Ozzy also placed two more songs from his new album on the Billboard charts: the singles "Under The Graveyard" and "Straight To Hell," respectively at number 7 and 18.
“Under The Graveyard” was number 1 for 6 weeks, in December and January.
