Eloy Casagrande used an artificial intelligence app to learn Slipknot songs.

The drummer had two months to learn the band's songs and used the app

Eloy Casagrande left Sepultura just before the band was about to begin its farewell tour and soon joined Slipknot . The change of bands, which seemed abrupt to fans, brought new challenges for the musician.

After joining, Sipknot quickly went on tour with the Here Comes the Pain tour . Eloy then faced the challenge of learning 32 songs in two months. The tour even included a stop in Brazil at Knotfest on October 19th and 20th .

Casagrande is a prodigy on the drums, having started playing at the age of seven, and is known for his dedication to music. Therefore, for his Slipknot audition, in addition to his traditional practice, he used an app to help him.

The platform is called Moises and, through artificial intelligence, it allowed the artist to isolate instruments, adjust tempos, and create loops of specific sessions for detailed study during the audition process. The tool was founded by Brazilians from the northeast of the country.

Moises is an app created for musicians and producers that offers features such as voice and instrument separation, pitch, chord and BPM recognition, voice timbre transfer, and other resources aimed at making music practice more accessible and dynamic. 

“Using the Moses basket was like having an entire studio in the palm of my hand. I was able to adjust the details of each song, isolate the instruments I needed to focus on, and prepare more effectively than would have been possible without the technology. It was a fundamental tool for my preparation and helped me reach the level of perfection necessary to play with a band like Slipknot,” Eloy stated in a press release. Learn more here.
