“On February 6th, in an extraordinary meeting, drummer Eloy Casagrande informed the band and management that he was leaving Sepultura to pursue another project. We were caught off guard, without prior notice or any discussion about how to make the transition. The announcement was made and he immediately left the band, abandoning everything related to Sepultura.”

For the Celebrating Life Through Death tour, Sepultura announced a new drummer to honor the band's history and legacy: American Greyson Nekrutman, who takes over the drums from Eloy and issued the following statement:

“Today I express my sincere gratitude for the incredible opportunity to join the legendary members of Sepultura on their farewell tour. Contributing to this legacy is a privilege that fills me with honor and enthusiasm. Sepultura's fearless approach to exploring new territories in the metal sphere is something I have always admired and used as inspiration in my own musical endeavors. I look forward to adding to the band's artistry, connecting with the fans who have always supported Sepultura throughout its evolution, and creating new electrifying experiences on stage. Here's to the new chapters we will write, the stages we will conquer, and the powerful music we will present across the planet.”

On February 6th, in an extraordinary meeting, drummer Eloy Casagrande informed the band and management that he was leaving Sepultura to pursue another project. We were caught off guard, without prior notice or any discussion about how to make the transition. The announcement was made and he immediately left the band, abandoning everything related to Sepultura. Our history is made of challenges, and it is these challenges that fuel our creativity and determination. It wouldn't be now, after everything we've been through in these 40 years, that we would give up; on the contrary!

Therefore, we are very happy to announce the spectacular drummer Greyson Nekrutman, who will be our partner on the drums to honor our commitment to Sepulnation and to everyone who is part of this celebration!

Always strong and united in the positive energy of respect and gratitude.
See you on the road! Let's celebrate,
Andreas Kisser , Derrick Green and Paulo Xisto
