Slipknot 's drummer , Eloy Casagrande was cheered by the Brazilian audience on October 19th and 20th, during Knotfest Brasil 2024 , held at Allianz Parque in São Paulo.
On Monday, the 25th, Casagrande shared a video of his drum performance on the song 'Wait And Bleed'. The clip was taken from the second night of the festival. Sharing the material on social media allows fans to check out Eloy's performance.
Although expected, the official announcement of Eloy Casagrande joining the band was still a very emotional moment for fans, who were curious about the drummer change after Jay Weinberg in November 2023.
The anticipation for Casagrande's arrival began after the band hinted at the drummer's replacement by posting a photo of a broken drumstick with the caption "Rehearsal," indicating that rehearsals had already started.
Eloy, on the other hand, fueled rumors about his joining Slipknot by announcing his departure from Sepultura in February 2024, just as he was about to begin rehearsals for the band's 40th-anniversary farewell tour. His sudden exit was a shock, but the direction of his next steps soon became clear.

Guitarist Jim Root commented on Casagrande joining Slipknot: "He joined the band without them having to look for other candidates." Casagrande contacted the band, sending several videos of his performance, which quickly impressed everyone.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album, Slipknot (1999), bringing back their classic look with the red jumpsuits from 1999 and some updates to the masks, combining old and new elements to honor their journey. The night was memorable for the fans.

Eloy Casagrande's career
Considered one of the most renowned drummers in Brazil, Eloy began his professional career as a member of the Brazilian band Mr. Ego . He soon participated in other projects alongside great artists such as Andre Matos , leading him to later join the bands Iahweh and Gloria .
Casagrande gained worldwide prominence when he replaced Jean Dolabella in Sepultura in 2011. He participated in several tours and recordings, establishing himself as one of the leading drummers in the scene. In 2024, Eloy joined Slipknot, replacing Jay Weinberg.
With their last album released in 2022, fans are already eagerly awaiting the next one, which will feature Eloy's creative input. The band has already announced that they will soon release the song "Long May You Die."
