Eloy Casagrande , drummer for Slipknot , won a poll conducted by Modern Drummer in the category of best metal drummer.
Thanking the fans who voted for him, Casagrande made a post on his social media celebrating the milestone: “I’m happy to have been named the best metal drummer of 2024 by Modern Drummer magazine. Thank you to everyone who voted for me.”
The drummer emphasizes that in art there is no better or worse, but that he is "lucky to have people" who support him and like his work.
Casagrande ends the post showing respect and gratitude for the service that Modern Drummer provides to the "drumming" community, also thanking the band and the "maggots," as Slipknot fans are known.
