Sepultura drummer Eloy Casagrande revealed on the latest SepulQuarta that Andre Matos , who passed away last year, was the first person to give him an opportunity in the music industry.

Casagrande recounts that it all began when he performed a "small drum solo" at age 15 on Faustão's show, and was noticed by Roy Z , Andre Matos' producer at the time. A day later, he received a call from Matos' manager and auditioned to join the artist's band, which he did.

Eloy recalls speaking with André himself and asking him if he thought this was the right decision, as he was very young, had never traveled before, and didn't know if he could handle it. But André said he believed in him. The act will forever mark the drummer's memories, as the metal legend was the first to give him an opportunity in the music industry.
