Electric Sky announces new drummer and new album; find out more here

The band plans to release the first single from the new cycle in October

Electric Sky , after the release of their self-titled debut album , announced the addition of drummer Herone Filho , who replaced Sergio Melo , the current drummer for Lulu Santos and The Voice Brasil.

When announcing the news, João Márcio Francis (guitar) commented in a press statement: “Due to Serginho's very busy schedule, we decided to continue with Herone on drums, as Serginho wouldn't have time to dedicate to the new album!”

Herone is a long-time drummer in the Vitória, Espírito Santo music scene, and has been part of bands such as The Rain, A Roda, Big Bat Blues Band , and Fry Blues.

The founding trio of Electric Sky, Fabio Midgard (vocals), João Paulo Francis (guitar) and João Márcio Francis (lead guitar), along with bassist Sandro Costa , announced the start of recording their second album, which is still untitled.

The band already has ten songs ready and began recording during the month of July this year. The sessions should last until October, the same month in which the band intends to release the single "Colors," which is already being mixed by Mauricio Cersosimo , who co-produced the band's first album.
