With the mission of firmly establishing their name on the global rock map, the Brazilian band Electric Mob kicked off the promotional campaign for their second album on October 6th with the release of the single and music video for "Sun is Falling".
Recorded at Nico's Studio in Curitiba, the track was produced by Amadeus De Marchi . Mixing and mastering were handled by Nico Braganholo . The music video, which accompanies the single, was directed by Estanis Neto and produced by BRX Filmes .
The video engages with the lyrics through images of the band performing the song in a closed and sometimes suffocating environment. “We are a band that encourages the free interpretation of lyrics so that people can draw their own conclusions, but it’s a fact that every day we face some kind of enemy. Not necessarily physical enemies, but also mental and emotional ones. So we wanted to condense all that anger and anguish into these images. The chains, the executioner, the dirt, all of that is part of that 'box' we are forced to fit into,” comments vocalist Renan Zonta .

About Electric Mob
Renan Zonta (vocals), Ben Hur Auwarter (guitar), Yuri Elero (bass), and André Leister (drums) formed Electric Mob in 2016 in Curitiba (PR), with the aim of paying homage to the old school of the 70s and 80s while creating a powerful sound driven by the explosive groove of 2000s heavy rock. A relatively simple formula, but extremely effective if well executed. Proof of this is their debut EP, Leave a Scar (2017), which immediately caught the attention of Frontiers Music , one of the world's leading hard rock labels and home to artists such as Whitesnake , Def Leppard , Sammy Hagar , and Sebastian Bach .
Already signed to Frontiers Music , in 2020 Electric Mob released their first album, Discharge . The work was very well received by specialized critics, who did not hesitate to point out the group as an exciting and promising new act. The single "Devil You Know" had great airplay on radio stations in Europe and the United States, where it was present for 14 consecutive weeks on the Billboard / BDS Mainstream Rock Indicator Chart and the Foundation Rock Chart , ranking at 22nd and 5th position, respectively.
In the digital realm, their performance was also remarkable, with over 3.5 million streams and the quartet twice featured on the cover of Spotify Hard Rock , the genre's main . The next step would have been an international tour, but the pandemic put the group's plans (and dreams) on hold. What could have been a cause for discouragement ended up becoming fuel for writing material for their next album, and "Sun in Falling" is the first preview of the new project.
