Electric Mob released the music video for "Love Cage" last Wednesday, the 7th. The song will be featured on the band's second studio album, 2 Make U Cry & Dance . The video was directed and edited by Jan Mayer .
The track joins the singles “ Sun is Falling ” and “By the Name (nanana)” from the new album, recorded by Frontiers Music , which will be released on January 27th. Pre-orders are now available .
In a press release, guitarist Ben Hur Auwarter explained that "Love Cage" was originally planned for the Curitiba-based band's first album, Discharge (2020), but ended up being left out: "We are very happy with the release of 'Love Cage' because it's a renegade child from our first album. Taking advantage of the World Cup atmosphere, we had to choose 11 songs for the first album in 2020 and at the last minute 'Love Cage' was cut. Now it's here to be one of the protagonists in the selection for the next album, 2 Make U Cry & Dance ."
Finally, Electric Mob's vocalist, Renan Zonta , couldn't contain his excitement and has already approved how the song would be performed live. “The first demo version is from 2018, and since then we've changed very few things. The biggest concern was the production in the build-up after the guitar solo and before the breakdown . The idea was: 'How Alok do this with guitar, bass, and drums?' We tested it live in November and it seems to have worked out really well! And for those wondering, yes, that drum fill is a tribute to Kiss ,” he said.
