The band Eldermoon , has released their new single and animated music video, “Past Life”. Still riding the wave of positive reception from their EP We Are Lost No More and their previous audiovisual works, the band anticipates the release of their new EP with “Past Life”, which should be announced soon.
The music video for “Past Life” is produced by Hell Alliance, with animation and animation direction by Allan Estalk and frame-by-frame illustration and animation by Fábio Enriconi , with the main purpose of demonstrating the consequences of our actions and the devastating effect they can have on our lives.
To achieve this, three distinct stories were portrayed, in which each character carries their own guilt due to their choices. Alcohol abuse, physical violence, and disrespect are some of the acts used to define each individual's temperament. While the characters are portrayed negatively, at certain moments it is possible to perceive regret and remorse for their own actions.
However, this cannot be erased from their stories, which means that each one carries their scars for the rest of their lives. Throughout the clip, it is possible to perceive the presence of death approaching each character, while they move towards tragic endings that conclude the video.
Alex Biembengut, vocalist of Eldermoon, commented on the release: “As a vocalist and performer, one of my priorities is to convey feelings through every technique, and with 'Past Life' it was no different.”
“The lyrics were written long before they were recorded, and the meanings I conveyed through them matured along with my experiences. In my vocals, sometimes measured, sometimes asymmetrical in time and tone, I express a raw fury and fulfillment, which, together with the entire instrumental, creates an intense yet rhythmic atmosphere, allowing the listener to enter the sound as a journey and explore its essence.”.
Eldermoon is a band from Curitiba, formed in 2019, characterized by crossing the paths of heavy metal, metalcore, and melodic death metal, with vocals ranging from guttural to melodic, musical sessions highlighting bass and drums, and guitars dueling in solos and memorable riffs. Eldermoon's lineup consists of vocalist Alex Biembengut , guitarists Matheus Gonçalves and Allan Estalk , bassist Fabio Conelli , and drummer Lucas Lorenzetti.
