The hardcore/metal band Oitão is drawing more attention to the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic with the release of the official music video for their single "Covid 19 / Abismo".
The video intersperses scenes of the band playing in the studio with images that allude to the chaos in society over the past year due to the pandemic, opening the clip with a tragic, daily news report about the seriousness of the situation.
“'Covid 19' addresses the chaos we've been living through this past year, with overcrowded hospitals, masks, and numerous losses in families,” says vocalist Henrique Fogaça . “It continues into 'Abismo': everyone, at some point, goes through a difficult situation in life, which either leads to the abyss or retreats and seeks mental sanity to live.”
