Ego Kill Talent talks about mental health in new single “Never Fading Light”

This track is part of a new EP that will be released soon

Ego Kill Talent releases their new single “Never Fading Light” this Friday, the 10th. The song delves into dialogues about mental health, resilience, and overcoming challenges amidst the noise of an increasingly fast-paced world, and is now available on all digital platforms.

Built upon layers of intense guitars, a driving bass line, and drums that firmly guide the song, the track gains strength in Emmily Barreto , who leads the narrative between vulnerability and explosion, bringing a reminder that, even in moments of darkness, there is a light that never goes out.

“'Never Fading Light' was born as an intimate conversation with our fans. It's our way of trying to silence the noise of an increasingly fast-paced world. The song speaks of depression in a personal way, but it also carries a message of optimism and hope,” says Barreto. “We portray the importance of looking inward, finding within ourselves the path to move forward and transform thoughts into new possibilities,” adds the vocalist of Ego Kill Talent.

The release is accompanied by a music video that revisits footage from the historic tour alongside System Of A Down , when Ego Kill Talent performed for a total of 500,000 people in nine sold-out shows across South America . Between backstage moments and packed arenas, the images reinforce the contrast between the intensity of the road and the introspection present in the song's message.

During the same tour , the band released the singles “Reflecting Love” and “Last Ride (her)”, which join “Never Fading Light” in a new EP scheduled for release soon. The project marks a phase of global consolidation for the group, which has already shared the stage with names like Foo Fighters , Metallica , Queens of the Stone Age , Korn , Slipknot , Linkin Park and Evanescence .
