Ego Kill Talent announced this Wednesday, the 18th, Emmily Barreto , from Far From Alaska , is their new vocalist.
The band made the announcement in a minimalist and mysterious way on social media , deleting all old Instagram posts and publishing captionless photos of each of the four remaining members, as well as Emmily. On her own Instagram profile, the singer reposted the mural and changed her bio to include the names of the two bands she is now part of.
In August, Ego Kill Talent announced the departure of vocalist Jonathan Dörr , stating that they believed it was "the healthiest thing for everyone." In the statement, the band implied that the decision came from the singer and stated that they were already working with a new person, although they did not mention names at the time. The post was removed from the band's Instagram, along with the rest of their posts, to make way for the new announcement.
Emmily Barreto will be the first female vocalist for Ego Kill Talent. Jonathan Dörr has been the band's only other vocalist since its formation in 2014.
