The São Paulo-based band Ego Kill Talent was responsible for the theme song of the Rainbow Six Siege world championship, which, according to the website Techtudo , is a very important tactical competition game for the gaming world and is developed by Ubisoft.
The event was held in Brazil for the first time, and took place between February 13th and 25th, 2024. The last winning team of the tournament was the Brazilian team W7m. The soundtrack “We Move As One” featured the participation of Andreas Kisser , guitarist of Sepultura , and the British Rob Damiani , vocalist of Don Broco .
Currently, the band features the excellent Emmily Barreto , who took over vocals in 2023, following the departure of original vocalist Jonathan Dörr in 2022.
Rockbizz website , Emmily spoke about the composition of the song and its objective, which is to convey "the warmth of Brazil in a special and memorable way."
"We mainly wanted a chorus that would give the listener goosebumps and complement the idea of the short film in which the protagonist runs to the Ibirapuera Gymnasium," she says.
According to one of the band's founders, Theo Van Der Loo , the invitation to create the theme song for such an important event came at the perfect time to show fans this new phase of Ego Kill Talent.
Regarding the special appearances of Andreas and Damiani
Theo also said: “The participation of Andreas, who is a central figure in the Brazilian metal scene, and Rob Damiani, who is a very creative name, added power to the song, which will certainly reinforce the greatness that the Rainbow Six community brings to the game through unity.”
Ego Kill Talent and guests shared a message on the band's Instagram to announce the release.
