After a 30-year career, Edu Falaschi is finally on a solo project with the album Vera Cruz , released in May, but he considered giving up after leaving Angra , a band he was in for over a decade.
In a conversation with Nando Machado The Wikimetal Happy Hour segment , Falaschi explained that he had a turbulent year when he left Rafael Bittencourt . "I thought about quitting several times because of the voice problems I had in the past," he said. "I left Angra in 2012 with voice problems, and my mother passed away that same year. It was a turbulent, horrible year."
The support of his brother, Tito Falaschi , and his wife, Vivian Cabrini , was fundamental to the continuation of the singer's career. “They said, 'No way, you've managed to build so much up to this point, you'll heal, you'll come back and prosper,'” he recalled. “From 2005 onwards, it was always a struggle, I went through a lot and the thought of stopping crossed my mind a thousand times, not just once or twice.”
Without mentioning names, Falaschi explains that he believes in the power of good and bad energies in each person's life, and he cleaned up his social media after that period. “I met a lot of good people, dear people who wanted the best for me, and I worked on that,” he continued. “The thing about being close to people who emanate good things is essential. (…) I'll confess something, there was a moment when I said, 'I'm going to reset and delete from my phone those who aren't good for my life.' The day I did that, a whole new world opened up in my life, it changed completely.”
