Last Saturday, July 5th, the Tokio Marine Hall in São Paulo was the stage for a historic night for metal fans.
With a full house and tickets in high demand, Edu Falaschi Temple of Shadows in Concert to life . The vocalist was accompanied by the magnificent Artur Nogueira Youth Symphony Orchestra , conducted by maestro Ricardo Michelino .
The evening featured a special program, beginning with performances by the bands Auro Control , Noturnall , and Roy Khan , who warmed up the audience with special presentations.
Edu Falaschi brings together orchestra, classics and metal legends.
The main concert began at 9 pm , with a stage that was impeccable in sound and projections. This helped create the perfect atmosphere for the celebration of the iconic album Temple of Shadows .
Incidentally, it's worth remembering that Temple of Shadows is a concept album released in 2004 by the Brazilian band Angra . The album was released during the period when Edu Falaschi was the group's vocalist.
Alongside his band and orchestra, Falaschi delivered a performance that successfully combined the power of metal with the sophistication of symphonic music. Undoubtedly, one of the highlights of the night was the performance of "Temple of Hate," which thrilled the audience.
Subsequently, the performance of "Pegasus Fantasy" brought a wave of nostalgia to fans, especially those who grew up watching Saint Seiya . Seeing Edu Falaschi give voice to this anime classic was very special and almost brought down the Tokyo Marine Hall .
The show ended with a pleasant surprise for the audience: a tribute to the band Helloween , with the classic "I Want Out." The anthem featured special appearances by Adrienne Cowan , Roy Khan , Bill Hudson , and the legendary Kai Hansen , the song's original vocalist.
In addition, the setlist included tributes to Edu's career, with classics such as "Bleeding Heart" and "Nova Era," as well as the track "The Ancestry" from his solo album.
Roy Khan's grand return to the stage.
Another highlight of the evening was the performance by Roy Khan, former vocalist of Kamelot and Conception , marking his official return to the stage after years away.
Alongside the band Maestrick , Khan took fans on a thrilling return to the album The Black Halo , one of the most revered in the world of power metal.
The show kicked off with high energy to the sound of "When the Lights Are Down" and ended with the iconic "March of Mephisto," featuring Adrienne Cowan and Bill Hudson.
Khan's performance couldn't leave out the beautiful "Abandoned," enhanced by arrangements from the symphony orchestra with a special audience chorus. For Kamelot fans (and those who became fans that night), it was an emotional reunion with the voice that defined an era.
That night was a special trip down memory lane for those who grew up or grew old listening to Angra and Kamelot. For those present who lived in a time when the biggest concern was the next release from our favorite band and the physical preparation needed to run to the nearest store to buy the physical media, Edu Falaschi managed to deliver a night that will be remembered fondly.
