Edu Falaschi announced the first single from his new solo album in a special way: right in Times Square. The song "Tenochtitlán" will be released with a music video next week, on August 18th, being the only preview before the release of the album Eldorado .
The news was revealed to the public last week with a grand announcement of the new album and the cover of the new single in the famous New York square, known precisely for the lights of its countless advertising screens.
“The single’s artwork showcases all the grandeur and beauty of the Aztec empire’s capital during the Post-Classic period of Mesoamerica, with the central icon being the leader Montezuma II, the last entirely independent ruler of the Aztec Empire. I’m very excited for everyone to hear this new song and this new phase of my career,” explains Edu Falaschi.
For the single “Tenochtitlan”, a music video is confirmed for release on August 18th. Pre-save the song is available here . The album Eldorado will be released worldwide on August 23rd, 2023, with digital distribution by ONErpm , and in physical format on August 30th, 2023 by King Records (Japan). Edu Falaschi's new album is a continuation of Vera Cruz.
After much speculation from fans, it's confirmed that the conceptual story of Edu Falaschi's first solo album will continue in a trilogy. In this second part, Edu Falaschi will showcase even more themes related to Latin America, including Brazil.
According to the artist, the story of Eldorado begins with the encounter between the character of the Black Bishop and the Aztec empire. The artist's approach involves traversing the most diverse aspects of Latin music, from the pre-colonial period to modern Latin music, with songs in Spanish, native languages, rhythms, harmonies, and melodies characteristic of an ancient culture of great cultural value to humanity. The first confirmed special guest on the album represents this, with the indigenous singer and songwriter Sara Curruchich .
Maintaining the same lineup as their first solo album, with production by Edu Falaschi and Roberto Barros, the band will feature Aquiles Priester (drums), Fábio Laguna (keyboards), Diogo Mafra (guitar), Roberto Barros (guitar), and Raphael Dafras (bass). Mixing and mastering will be handled by Dennis Ward , who has produced major albums such as Angra 's Rebirth and Temple Of Shadows , and Edu Falaschi's own Vera Cruz .
