Edu Falaschi has announced his new album MI'RAJ, which concludes the fictional and conceptual trilogy, with a plot developed with the artist and writer Fábio Caldeira, a work that began with Vera Cruz (2021) and continued with Eldorado (2023). Scheduled for release in June, the work represents the definitive conclusion of the saga and consolidates one of the most ambitious phases of the artist's solo career.
Notably, Edu confirms the special appearances of Roy Khanon the track "Circle of Dust," and Veronica Bordacchini, vocalist of Fleshgod Apocalypse, on the title track "MI'RAJ." Set in 1519 in Ottoman territories, the album presents the final chapter of Jorge's journey, the protagonist of the trilogy, amidst spiritual conflicts and the search for revelation, identity, and purpose.
Edu Falaschi said that having special guests on the album was very significant. “With Roy Khan, it was the realization of a long-held dream. He has always been one of my favorite singers in heavy metal, possessing one of the most beautiful and expressive voices I've ever heard. I've been a fan since I heard the album Flow by the band Conception, and that deeply affected me,” revealed Edu.
“Working with Verônica Bordacchini was also a great honor. Besides being an incredible singer with a beautiful voice, she's a wonderful person. I've always found this mix of styles very interesting, because she comes from a symphonic metal band with death metal influences, FLASHGOD APOCALYPSE, and yet she has a background and versatility that allow her to move through different vocal approaches very naturally,” Edu added.
