, and high-level heavy metal marked Ponta Grossa last Saturday, July 26, 2025, with the highly anticipated performance of Edu Falaschi 's Temple of Shadows in Concert at the Teatro Marista Pio XII. The show brought together fans from all over the region to witness a live performance of one of the most cult-followed albums in Brazilian metal, celebrating its 20th anniversary in grand style.
High-level opening: Auro Control and Noturnall
The night started early, at 5:45 PM, with the band Auro Control , straight from Bahia, warming up the crowd with their own repertoire that blended heaviness, technique, and a lot of energy on stage. Even though there were technical problems just before playing the classic "Runner" at the end of their set, the crowd didn't lose momentum.
Next up, it was the turn of São Paulo's Noturnall to take the stage. With a sharp performance and charisma, the band prepared the ground for the headliner, bringing original tracks and a cover of Cazuza classic "O tempo não para," showcasing the vigor of contemporary Brazilian metal. Led by Thiago Bianchi , who constantly interacted with the audience, which was still lukewarm.
Despite the audience's initial shyness, the band from São Paulo managed to deliver a show worthy of the city's national metal scene.
Edu Falaschi thrills fans with a full performance of Temple of Shadows.
Right on time, Edu Falaschi took to the stage accompanied by his band, receiving a standing ovation from the audience. The setlist included all the tracks from the classic album Temple of Shadows , originally released in 2004 with Angra, as well as classics from his career. The audience sang along to hits like "Spread Your Fire," "Rebirth," and "Pegasus Fantasy," creating an atmosphere of celebration and nostalgia.
The show also featured special moments, such as the participation of two local singers, singing "No Pain For The Dead" and "Winds of Destination" with Edu. The vocalist, always friendly, thanked the fans from Ponta Grossa for their affection and reinforced the importance of the album in his career.
Despite the lukewarm audience for most of the show, perhaps due to it being a theater performance, Edu Falaschi managed to satisfy the longing of the audience who had been waiting for his return to the city for over a decade, delivering a celebration of national metal back in town.
