Roberto Barros , guitarist for Edu Falaschi , commented on comparisons between the album Vera Cruz (2021) and songs by Angra .
When asked if there is a part of “Mirror Of Delusion”, from Falaschi's solo album, inspired by “Live and Learn”, by Angra, Barros confirmed that these “easter eggs” were intentional.
“It’s a way of communicating with the fan who understands that language. They listen and their little heart [races],” the musician explained in an interview with Ibagenscast , transcribed by Wikimetal . “This is something that happens intentionally and sometimes not.”
In addition to references to Edu's work in Angra, these moments also "recall the singer's style," explains the guitarist. "It's very ingrained in his style, the way he composes," he continued.
In an interview with The Wikimetal Happy Hour last year, Falaschi also spoke about the subject, responding to the audience's question about whether the album would be a kind of continuation of Temple of Shadows . "And it's the same singer, so that gives it a DNA that can't be dissociated; he's the guy from those albums, who recorded and composed those songs, so there's no escaping that and composing that kind of music," he said .
