Edu Falaschi received several public invitations from Angra to participate in the tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of the album Rebirth , with manager Paulo Baron insisting on the matter in online posts, but the singer decided not to accept – and explained the reason in a recent interview with Ibagens Cast .
When asked by a fan if he would participate in the Amplifica podcast, hosted by Rafael Bittencourt, the former Angra vocalist pointed out that "it's not the right time," despite the public's great expectation for a reconciliation between the members of the lineup responsible for the band's most commercially successful phase.
“I prefer to let the dust settle a bit, there are things that are still happening, unfortunately,” he said, citing two of Baron's social media posts, in which he posted scenes from Angra's show in Fortaleza with the caption “Eduardo, don't worry, you'll sing like that too. So, let's put some effort into the production,” he wrote, according to a screenshot published by Igor Miranda . The businessman denied any indirect references to the singer, stating that he was talking about a cousin with the same name.
“Many people ask me, (…) the day it’s real, something that makes sense, when there’s a genuine desire to have me there, the affection and the longing, ‘let’s meet and turn this page,’ man, I’ll do it,” Falaschi continued. “I didn’t feel a real desire for me to be there.”.
The singer and songwriter further explained that he values the history built with Angra. "I don't bow my head, I demand respect, and when that respect exists, I do it." In another part of the live stream, Falaschi continued talking about his interest in maintaining cordiality regarding bureaucratic authorizations to record Angra tracks, as in the case of the Vera Cruz tour also feature the entire Rebirth album
