Edu Falaschi announced that Max Cavalera will be featured on his debut solo album, titled Vera Cruz , which is scheduled for release in May.

“It’s incredibly exciting to be able to work with and have the honor of featuring the voice of one of the greatest idols of world heavy metal,” Edu said in a statement to the press. “I remember listening to Sepultura in their early days and thinking how different those guys were, I love the band’s entire history and also Max’s more recent work (…) [This] adds a lot to my eternal gratitude and happiness in being able to have his talent on such an important album for me.”

Vera Cruz , in addition to Max Cavalera, will also feature Elba Ramalho , who will perform a duet with the musician on the album. Recording began in November 2020 in Rio de Janeiro and was produced by Edu with the help of Roberto Barros and Thiago Bianchi.

Fans can now pre-order the release with an exclusive and limited kit at this link . The kit will include a hardcover Digibook, CD and DVD, booklet with a story summary, lyrics, photos, t-shirt, and mug.
