Edu Falaschi released the second music video from the album Vera Cruz , “The Ancestry”. According to a statement released to the press, the video shows more about the creator of the Order of the Cross of Nero, part of the album's concept which also deals with themes such as the colonization of Brazil by Portugal.
Regarding the history of the song, writer Fabio Caldeira explains: “Around the year 1500, during the Age of Exploration, an ancient prophecy is fulfilled with the birth of a child bearing a birthmark on his chest in the shape of a cross! His name is Jorge, the chosen one. Raised in Portugal by the Order of Christ, after many generations he is the last descendant of the founder of a secret evil order called the Order of the Cross of Nero and is persecuted from birth by the leader of this evil order, the Black Bishop.”
"Protected by his guardian, Pedro Álvares Cabral, Jorge is taken from Portugal, where he could be killed, and ends up embarking on a great adventure, discovering the beauties of a new world, the Island of Vera Cruz. However, infiltrated on the caravels, soldiers of the Order of the Cross of Nero also came to Brazil to prevent the prophecy from being fulfilled. In a tale of love, danger, and revelations, Jorge discovers his destiny! Is Jorge truly safe?"
Speaking about the release of the music video, Falaschi commented: “It’s a great joy to be able to make another music video from the Vera Cruz album! This time a fast-paced song with incredible energy for fans of power metal! Once again, I counted on the determination of my friends and bandmates who helped me create something unique and special!
