Eddie Vedder released his new solo song "Cartography" today, the 15th, as part of the Sub Pop label's singles project.
The track was made for the 2018 Return To Mount Kennedy Bobby Kennedy about the death of Martin Luther King Jr. and also came with a remix by Nick Zinner , guitarist of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
“Listening to Bobby Kennedy's speech about the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. 50 years ago reminds you that once again we are at a moment when our society can and must do better. Voting is our most powerful form of nonviolent protest. And those we vote for must be deeply aware that the issues of equality and justice in America are of paramount importance and need not only to be restored, but taken to the next level. NOW.”
Listen to “Cartography” below, followed by the remix.
