Eddie Vedder contributed to the soundtrack of the new season of The Bear , performing a version of the song "Save It for Later" by The English Beat . The song appears in the second episode of the series, whose highly anticipated third season premiered last Wednesday, June 26th, in the United States. In Brazil, however, the new season will only be available from July 17th.
The track was originally released in 1982 and is part of the album Special Beat Service . The choice of cover, however, was not surprising, since Pearl Jam constantly incorporates elements of the song into live performances of "Better Man". A preview had also already appeared in the trailer for the production, alongside "Animal" and "Come Back".
And Vedder's new solo track didn't take long to gain popularity. Just hours after its release, the song was already climbing the American iTunes , establishing itself among the 50 most listened to in the United States.
