Eddie Van Halen will be honored with a new line of nine guitars made by the company he helped found, EVH .
The new line, scheduled for release later this year, includes guitars designed to popularize the technique created by the iconic guitarist. The instruments feature a Stratocaster-style design with specifications created by Van Halen himself, and among the models are variants of the 5150 Series, Wolfgang Special, and Wolfgang WG Standard.
“Eddie Van Halen’s uniquely inventive style inspired an entire generation of guitarists. He innovated not only in how he played, but in what he played, creating some of the greatest guitars and amplifiers the world has ever seen and heard,” says a press release from EVH.
Eddie passed away in October 2020 after a long battle with cancer. According to the death certificate obtained by TMZ , the guitarist suffered a stroke.
