Google released this week the most searched terms on its search engine in Brazil in 2020, as it does every year. Among the most searched topics was the name of Eddie Van Halen the guitarist who passed away in October of this year.
Google Trends showed that Eddie's name appeared in sixth place among the most searched terms related to "death," alongside Kobe Bryant, Naya Rivera, Chadwick Boseman, George Floyd, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg . Furthermore, he also appeared in sixth place on the list of musicians and bands, alongside Shakira, August Alsina, Adele, Doja Cat , and Grimes.
Eddie Van Halen passed away on October 6th at the age of 65 after a long battle with cancer. Looking beyond Google Trends, the musician's death deeply impacted many rock fans who deeply miss their idol. Among the various tributes the guitarist received after his passing, his son Wolfgang Van Halen released a song in his honor, which you can check out below.
