Eddie Van Halen: Two guitars belonging to the legendary musician will be auctioned off.

The 'Icons & Idols Trilogy: Rock 'N' Roll' auction will also feature items from Kurt Cobain, David Bowie, and more

Eddie Van Halen considered the most influential guitarist of all time, Icons & Idols Trilogy: Rock 'N' Roll auction , hosted live by Julien's Auctions on December 5th.

The instruments that became symbols of the artist's music and of Van Halen will be displayed alongside items and memorabilia used or owned by names such as David Bowie, Kurt Cobain, Elvis Presley, Aerosmith , and even pop music legends like Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Lady Gaga .

The instruments that will be auctioned are a 2004 EVH Charvel Art Series guitar and a guitar that Eddie built alongside guitar tech Matt Bruck in his home studio in 1991. Both feature hand-painted stripes by the musician, as well as signatures and even a cigarette burn mark. The guitars are expected to sell for $40,000 and $80,000 each.
