Trunk speaks to Wikimetal
In this week's Wikimetal interview, Eddie Trunk talked about the current Black Sabbath lineup.
Trunk explained that he likes the lineup with Ozzy but misses Black Sabbath with Dio on vocals:
“As many people know, I love Sabbath with Dio and I miss him. This was a bit strange for me because I was very involved with Sabbath, very close to Ronnie and therefore close to Tony, Geezer and Vinnie, when they were doing Heaven & Hell. I loved what they were doing in those last years when Ronnie was alive. So it was a bit difficult to see Tony and Geezer on stage without seeing Ronnie in the middle. But Ozzy, of course, is the original vocalist of the band and the material they do is very good. But it's also very sad for me, as a big fan of Sabbath with Dio, to look at the stage and realize that we will never again hear songs like Children Of The Sea or Neon Knights and Heaven & Hell played by that band, never again. And that really affected me, because those songs are incredible.”
Trunk will be the master of ceremonies at the Monsters of Rock , which will take place at Arena Anhembi in São Paulo on October 19th and 20th.
Black Sabbath will be playing in Brazil in October, with shows in Porto Alegre on the 9th, São Paulo on the 11th, Rio de Janeiro on the 13th, and Belo Horizonte on the 15th. Tickets for the São Paulo show are already sold out.
