Regis Tadeu , Ed Motta 's offensive statements against Raul Seixas, Elvis Presley , and Johnny Cash in a video, criticizing the musician's stance and lack of argument when attacking artists "who are no longer here to defend themselves."

For Regis, the problem isn't having a negative opinion about an artist's work, but rather going beyond the limits of professional criticism, especially without creating logical and contextualized arguments.

“These are typical barroom bravado statements, (...) the internet is not your living room or a bar table,” commented Tadeu, according to a transcript from Wikimetal . “Ed’s irresponsibility lies in the total lack of argumentation to try to justify these absurdities, that’s what irritated me.”

Throughout the video about the case, the music critic refuted accusations made by Ed Motta, especially when the musician accused Raul Seixas of being a "record label musician" and a supposed traitor to the artistic community during his time as a producer at CBS.

Regis also pointed out the "astonishing ignorance" demonstrated by the artist when making criticisms equivalent to "troublemaker YouTubers" seeking engagement, without considering the consequences. "Do you know who Ed reminded me of saying this nonsense? Olavo de Carvalho , who kept saying that the Beatles' songs had been composed by [philosopher] Theodor Adorno , total insanity."

In an interview with The Wikimetal Happy Hour , Regis Tadeu explained that he has never regretted the criticism he has made throughout his career precisely because he separates the personal from the professional. "Even in my harshest criticisms, I will never offend anyone personally. I will criticize their work," he said .
