Duff McKagan releases snippet of unreleased song and announces solo tour.

This release will be the bassist's first album since Believe in Me , from 1993.

Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan has released a snippet of what will be his upcoming solo album. The song can be heard in a video created to announce the dates of his solo tour, which will take place later this year.

Singer-songwriter Shooter Jennings , who is also producing the bassist's new work, will join him on two dates – May 30th at the Theatre Of The Living Arts in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and May 31st at City Winey in Washington, D.C.

McKagan and Jennings began working on the album in March 2018. The duo recorded the tracks at Station House in Echo Park, California, as well as a few other locations during Guns N' Roses' tour, which included a stop in Brazil in 2017 as part of the Not In This Lifetime .

Recently, the bassist made an appearance at NAMM in Anaheim, California, and spoke about the songwriting process for the new songs: “They’re kind of observational songs, and I’m really proud of that. It’s like another book for me. It’s not a rock album, so I don’t know if people will be surprised or not.”

This release will be Duff McKagan's first solo album since Believe in Me . He also recorded and produced Beautiful Disease How To Be A Man featuring friends such as Jerry Cantrell , Izzy Stradlin , and drummers Roy Mayorga ( Stone Sour ) and Taz Bentley ( Loaded ).
