Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan has dropped some hints about the band's future plans by sharing details about his solo project.

According to Society Of Rock : “So, I have some songs coming out in a few weeks. And I also have another album that’s completely laid out musically. We have that album ready to be released, but I’m not sure when I’m going to release it.”

He continues: “And there’s more Guns N’ Roses stuff coming soon, and I don’t want to release an album while Guns is busy. I try to stagger everything, so I can’t say when the next album will be released. I could release three albums at once, but that could be very complicated.”

Beyond McKagan’s statement, earlier this year, Slash said that Guns N’ Roses has plans for a new album , which lends even more credibility to the bassist.

The band's latest release was Hard Skool , a 4-song EP in February 2022. This work includes the title track and "Absurd." It also contains live versions of "Don't Cry" and "You're Crazy."

McKagan talks about songs recorded for the new studio album.

Also, according to Society of Rock , McKagan reveals that there are new songs that were recorded during the pandemic: “We actually polished some of these songs during quarantine. They’re pretty good, so I’m excited to share them. We’ll probably release one or two songs at a time until we get to them all. I’m not sure how many we recorded in total.”

If all goes according to plan, fans of the band can look forward to good news from the group in the near future.
