Confessori will stay until the end of the tour

Angra drummer Ricardo Confessori announced his departure from the band today. In an official statement, the musician stated that the reason for his departure is his involvement in other projects.

Guitarist Rafael Bittencourt commented on the drummer: “Ricardo Confessori has been collaborating with the group for many years. He left us once and came back. He helped create the group's musical identity. Now, once again, the doors are open for him to leave and also to return. He continues with his plans and dreams, and we support him. I hope to soon be able to develop other projects with this great guy. An excellent professional and of immense character.”

Kiko Loureiro also left his message: “May Ricardo's dreams come true, and may he know that the doors are always open for him to play, work, and travel with us, and that he belongs to this close circle of friendship that we have created over so many years. We will always be there to support him and help him with whatever he needs in this new phase of his life.”

Confessori will remain with the band until the end of Angels Cry's 20th-anniversary tour, which still has shows scheduled until September in America and Europe.
